F'NUGGET Update

Hey there everyone! I was told not to long ago that I needed to post something about Marley so here it is...

1st of all, I would love to post some video footage but for whatever reason, I can't get it to download onto here. Therefore, I shall post some pics instead...yet again. While Marley is still super adorable (to us, at least), he has grown...like ALLOT! I would say he's more than doubled his size which is fine by me. This way, I'm less likely to step on him. :s

We recently took him to the vet to find out that yes, he is indeed, a dude. We weren't sure there for a while but we've had 'vet confirmation'...if that really means anything at all.lol. As far as we can tell he's in good health. The vet was a little concerned about his heart rate as it seemed a little high but she said at this stage we shouldn't worry. And for once in my life I can honestly say that I, Kim, am NOT worried. Why?! Well because Marley runs around like he's done about 100 hits of speed in one shot so I was not at all surprised when she mentioned his heart rate. If you could see all the pictures we've taken of 'him', you would understand. Yes, I have a crappy camera but most turn out like this because he's so dang fast:

See his tail sticking out from behind the couch. We have about twenty pictures just like this.lol.

But, with all his energy comes a whole lotta cuteness:

Notice how the only decent pics I manage to get are of him after he's just woken up?! We can definitely say that there's never a dull moment now that he's around. :)

Mini-Honeymoon???

I bet when you all read that title you think 'OOOHHHH OOOHHHH!' and you'd be right to think so. Before I even get into the downers about our little trip, I'll start with the uppers. :)
1st of all, I have gotten a whole week to spend with the love of my life. Definitely a plus!
2nd of all, I'm easy to please in my opinion. Some people people may argue that but that's for another blog. So, when we thought the weather was too crappy for camping, I came up with this fabulous idea! I thought, if the nights will be cold but we could run into some nice weather then we should still go somewhere. My solution: Duck Mountain in a CABIN! This way, whether the weather is nice or not, we could still go on the trails by day and sleep in a warm cabin by night! Great idea, right? RIGHT!
3rd of all, I'm getting paid to NOT be at work so alone, I should just relish in that fact alone.

Now for the downers. :(
1st of all, before we left, Keith and I had been feeling under the weather but Keith got the worst of it. He was feeling icky all over and I should have known better than to drag him out on an 'adventure' with me. But in my defence, he said he was feeling better and was up for going. When we got to Duck Mountain, the day went well. We went for a walk up to the lodge, when for a swim in the pool at the lodge and enjoyed their hot tub. WHICH, do I have a picture for you! I'll have to take one and post it as a follow up. You, my dear readers aren't even going to believe it. My bathing suit, where the skirt part usually falls just below my hips, now comes down to my ANKLES! I don't know wtf they put in the hot tub for chemicals but it blew my bathing suit to shyte.
That night we slept well and woke up the next morning ready to do whatever the day ahead brought to us. The sun was actually shining so we opted to go on a hiking trail. Now, Keith being Keith picked the 'almost' hardest trail out of all of our options. WHICH, kind of irritated me 'cause I'm thinking, dude, we be on vacay and I don't want to break my back but me being the 'trooper' I am went any way. Now this was all fine and dandy and I really felt myself getting a good workout but at the same time, felt like I might die. One word of advice, one hour at the gym a day does NOT prepare you for almost four hours of walking/hiking whether it be on land, dirt, mud, rock, marsh, or quicksand. At some point in our journey we reached a fork in the path, just before that fork was what resembled marshland since there has been so much rain. Keith didn't even stop and just walked on across it. I, on the other hand, hesitated and said 'Do you really think we should keep going'?
I mean, we had already encountered such marshy parts that I was just like, it keeps getting worse and I don't want to be stuck in the middle of this trail where bears can come eat me 'cause I'm like a WHOPPER to them! They like their humans just like we like our burgers. BIG, FAT and JUICY! lol.
Keith's response was 'Well, I made it across' which I'm like thinking in my head: Well yeah, but like I out-weigh by 500 pounds so SHUT IT! But I didn't say that, I just thought: GO FOR IT! So I did and SHOCKER, my ENTIRE left leg sunk into the mud/marsh which was kind of like quicksand. In response I immediately tried to pull my leg out but it wasn't coming out with my runner still on. I thought, screw this, I either lose my runner or get stuck here entirely with Keith having to get one of those emergency helicopter teams to pull me out. In the meantime I would just have to sit there waiting with my nothing but my head sticking out for the bears to eat. EEP! Any logical person would have done the same thing. I was like F U runner, it's been grand but I would prefer to keep my legs and my head! I managed to heave myself out by using my whole left side as leverage which concerned me because if my right side went down into the marsh, so could my left. :s
Note: Keith just stood there watching me! LOL!
Once my body was back on 'level' ground I turned around and BOOTED my chass out of there and didn't look back until I was on solid ground. PHEW! Keith, my 'hero', took a moment to retrieve my runner which looked like this:

After this whole fiasco and us laughing for five minutes about the whole thing, I decided to pull 'princess' and suggested we got some good walking in and that it was time we head back.

Upon our return, we went hot tubing and swimming again which was great because I was SO-ORE! Following that, we made a really nice supper and cuddled up by the fire which I didn't get any pics of because they never turn out. That night we did some light reading and then headed for what I thought would be a good night's sleep. However, I woke up to Keith coughing really bad which had us both up a majority of the night. When morning rolled around, I turned to him and said 'Let's take you home' and he agreed (poor guy).

As I was packing up the truck I was running in and out of the cabin to make the 11am check-out time. At one point I came in and Keith had something in his hand that I thought he had found in one of the drawers so I asked him what he found. He shook his head and said 'It's for you' so I looked at it, opened it up and found this:

That's right! It's a cool green colored pocket knife! On the little knife it says 'Kim' and on the other side it has two hearts. Now some girls want bling but I'm not that kind of girl!!! I've already used that cute little pocket knife three times since I got it and I love it! Most of all I love it for the reason why Keith got it for me: It will come in handy to open difficult packages (I do have issues when it comes to opening packages - my teeth aren't what they used to be) and for if anyone harasses me outside my workplace. :)

After that, we headed back home to Regina and are currently doing whatever the **** we want 'cause I'm on vacay BEHBEH! Mini-honeymoon, perhaps....but I do see me putting in some effort to celebrate our second honeymoon sooner than later.lol.

Funny Saturday

I know I haven't come through on my promise of having a funny post on Fridays so in an attempt to make up for it, I give you this:

Scene: I come home after experiencing a sore throat and sore ears all day. On top of that, Keith had previously emailed me saying his throat had been sore too.

Keith: 'Um, thanks for putting your toothbrush right up against mine. No wonder I'm not feeling well, you spreading your germs to me'. Note: I guess according to him, our kissing is magically germ free. Keep in mind, this is also the guy that didn't know women wipe themselves after going pee! Oh gawd, he's going to kill me for sharing that tidbit.
Me: 'Oh gawd! What are you talking about?' I giggle. I go into the bathroom to find this:

Me: I come out of the bathroom and say, 'Oh hun, that's just a sign that even when we're not together, our mouths can't bare to be apart'!!! (Come on, that looks cute, doesn't it???! lol).

Keith: EYE ROLL BIG TIME. LOL!

In other news: We had BIG plans to go camping since I'm on holidays this upcoming week but that fell through as the weather isn't looking too good. In an attempt to avoid passing up my holidays we've decided to go on a mini-honeymoon. Stay tuned for pictures and stories upon our return. :)

ps. Papa J is looking after Marley and our home so we wish him luck as we just haven't gotten Marley that rabies shot yet. :s

Downer Day. :s

Today is a downer day. I’m sure everyone can relate to that phrase, especially if you live in Saskatchewan and are currently enduring the rain and the bone chilling chilliness. I know, wah, wah ,wah. But seriously, this weather is bumming me out!

To add to that (insert more whining here) and be on your way. Otherwise, you get to read about how I’m feeling a wee bit under the weather. It’s nothing major as I know I’ve felt worse when I’ve been sick previous times. This time, my throat is sore, my ears hurt and I want to curl into a big ball and sleep. Oh, if only I could sleep for hours and hours without distraction! I normally could do that but lately Marley has gotten into this habit of attacking his cage with his teeth and nails every couple of hours which wakes me up now and again. It’s a good thing the F***NUGGET is so cute or he might wake up to find himself out on the balcony where I wouldn’t hear him! Lol.

I’m just keeping my fingers crossed that I feel better in no time because….I’m on HOLIDAYS next week! Oh, YESIAM! I’m really looking forward to it! I think it will be great to be outdoors and camping and doing whatever the heck I/we want for an ENTIRE week!!! However, Keith just told me and said the weather isn’t looking all that great which means I would postpone my time off. Then again, the weather report can change a hundred times before then. What other province do you get to experience every season in one day? This is Saskatchewan after all. Lol.

Hope all of you are staying warm and dry.

I scream, you scream, we all scream for ice cream!!!

Hey everyone! I'm home from Calgary and had a very enjoyable weekend. We didn't do too much but we got in a movie, some shopping, good food, great visiting and the best ice cream I've ever had! Technically, I'm not supposed to have ice cream but that can be our little secret!

ROUND 1: (Kim's demise)
We went to this creamery which I can't recall the name of at this moment but OMG, so good. I had the peanut butter crunch big dipper and I drool all over again to think of it. However, as yummy as it was, I would refrain from making it a habit to go. Not only can it easily add to my weight, but it can just as easily drain my pocketbook at a whopping $7 + for what I had.

I will find out the name and let you all in on it because I think everyone should try it just once. Yes, it was that good!!! Then again I always think, why introduce myself to something good that could be the start of something OHSO bad?! For this round, I'll let Jane take the blame for this round. lol.

ROUND 2: (Kim's revenge)
A few weeks ago we had our annual food day at work. I believe it is my most favorite day of all work days. One of our co-workers brought in a deliscious tasting guacamole. Honestly, the best I have EVER had and I've had a whole lot of guacamole. (I write this previous line and am reminded again why I have the chass that I do). Anyway, that's an entirely different story. So, I had being DYING to give this recipe a try.

When I first arrived to Calgary, Jane and I went to get groceries and picked up everything we needed to make this yummy in my tummy guacamole. Last night after a day of shopping, Jane went to chillax and I got to work. I'm not sure if I have mentioned this before, but I'm not the greatest cook/baker/dip maker in the world. I actually freak out a little when I plan to undertake something that involves me creating a 'dish'. But, I followed the ingredients and made my own additions and cut back on some ingredients to form my own version to suit my taste. It was OMGSODELISCIOUSIDROOLEDANDCOULDEATITFOREVEREVERYDAY!!!!!!
Well, atleast it tasted that good to me. For the REAL test, I had Jane come down and had her put her taste buds to the test. She thought it was so good, I got HUGS! Take that Chef Ramsey! HA! I only wish I could take credit for creating such a good recipe but I can't so I will say thanks to M.B. :)

I don't have the recipe on me at this moment as Jane made me leave it with her.lol. However, I will check with M.B. to see if I can share it with all of you. I believe Jane is now addicted and I'll gladly take the blame for this round.

I guess it's a tie and we're both screwed if we have easy access to the creamery or to the ingredients and recipe for the guacamole. hehe.

Hope you all had a wonderful long weekend!!! :)

24 hours

In just over 24 hours I will be in Calgary!!! A-WOO-HOO!

We don't have many plans but I know it's going to be a great time. I probably won't blog while I'm there because I'm there to visit, not blog. hehe. However, I will take pictures and post them upon my return.

I'm pretty sure that I'll have some good shots of me attempting to make guacamole as that is my main 'project' for the time I'm there. At least that way, I can say I did something while away.lol.

Happy long weekend everyone!!! :)

New rule!

I am officially adding a new rule to my list:

White pants should be outlawed for some people. Especially! if they are white enough that you can see the dimples in their ass and can also pretty much SEE their ass. It's just wrong in my opinion!
Although, I may be a bitch and should stop being so judgemental but then I wouldn't be me. teehee.

But really, these people give people like me ('fatties') a bad rap when they wear things they shouldn't. It sends the message that bigger people can't dress well because of their size. I mean, I'm the first to admit there are some outfits plus-sized stores sell that look horrible. For example, when I was trying on a few dresses one time, I looked like a pic-a-nic (booboo) table. Did I go ahead and buy it, why helz noooooooo! So why, oh why, do some people feel the urge to buy something that they try on knowing that it shows EVERY sin and reveals even the tiniest freckle on their chass?

GAWD only knows.....
