Outted

It's official, I've been OUTED! It has come to my attention that my not-so-evil step mom and oh-so-adorable brother came across by blog last week. To be honest, I really, honestly thought I had sent them an email telling them about it and how they could stay tuned. I mean, I obviously didn't so then it makes me wonder, what the H**L is wrong with me?! When do IIIIIII not take every opportunity to talk about myself or tell people how I've found new and exciting ways to talk about myself?! I'll tell you WHEN, it's when I blog things like this:

http://marriagemadnessandmore.blogspot.com/2010/11/pimp-n-hos-night.html

I think I must have subconsciously tried to hide them from the harsh reality that I, Kim Cullins, have a potty mouth and a dirty mind on occasion and when I say occasion I mean any time that I'm not sleeping. lol.

So here's the truth everyone! It's staring the truth STRAIGHT in the eye and I love it! This is for all those people that may have gotten reprimanded for something they said on FB or in a blog about work, this is for those people that think they're too good to let their real side show and *scoff* at other peoples lives (you know you're jealous) and this is for my family and friends that can say they knew the REAL Kim because they accepted me for who I really am and because they read my blog (of course I have to plug my blog in a victorious rant.lol) and this is mostly for myself because - I *insert naughty word here* ROCK! I live my blog the way I live my life - I am who I am and if you can't handle it, no one said you had to be part of it. :p

Ah, it's good to get those self-affirmations out, isn't it?! Oh, and before I forget (because we aaaalllll know how I tend to forget things) I should mention that my not-so-evil step mom and oh-so adorable brother had so many nice things to say about my blog and I thank them for that. Although, they diiiiid mention something about having a chat with me about the 'bad words' I use. lol. WHO? ME?! NEVER! *replace naughty words and insert nice words here* lol.

Fond memories

Sometimes, just sometimes, life goes like this....
You're hanging out, watching t.v. and enjoying some R&R when you get that call. Most people know what call I'm talking about. The sad voice on the other end that's just so sad that you know something is wrong and you're crying before you even actually know what's wrong. That's the call I got last night from my dad to tell me that my Grandma H had passed away. :(

So Grandma H, this blog is for you (and you too Grandpa H)!

After I got that phone call from dad and cried my puuuurty blue eyes out and made phone calls and etc, I got to thinking of SO MANY really fun times with you. It's not like we ever got wild or anything but you were just enjoyable to be around and I like to think that in many ways I take after you. I mean, let's be honest, you and I know how to TALK TALK TALK constantly and mostly, it's about nothing in particular which was fine by us.lol.

I remember the first time you met Keith. You were so tired and you had said you didn't think you up for company for too long but when saw Keith come through that door your eyes LIT right up and correct me if I'm wrong but I'm pretty sure if I wasn't there you would have hit on him BIG TIME.lol. And don't even try to deny it because I saw you batting your 'baby blues' at him on more than one occasion. But no worries, I was flattered that you thought he was cute and that you obviously approved. :)

Remembering that time made me also think about how you have such a big heart and you were always the one that 'fussed' over everyone to make sure that they were provided for without ever asking for anything in return or complaining about it afterwards. I think that the most common thing we shared is that you and I both secretly enjoy being 'fussed' over. I remember how proud and flattered you would get any time someone took the time to let you know that you're important and are just as worthy of being the center of attention as the next person.
Oooooohhh how you used to try to convince us not to get you birthday or Christmas gifts but when we came in hand with a present you really would just sparkle. And you grandma, deserve to sparkle!!!

On our most recent visit for your 85th birthday you spoke so fondly of grandpa and I just know that he welcomed you with open arms. It's been almost ten years since he passed away and I'm sure it will be a beautiful moment when you two meet again. By the way, can you perhaps not tell him that I gained weight back - otherwise I owe him $100 bucks and I seriously have no idea what the address is where you are so I can't even send a cheque. ;p
Not too long ago I told you how in some ways Keith reminds me of grandpa so if he asks how we are, please tell him that I found myself a handsome, stubborn type but VERY loving fellow - just like him.lol.

Grandma H, I only have one regret and that is how I would have preferred that my visit this weekend was to come up and say hi instead of goodbye. But instead of saying goodbye, I just want to say a big thank you! Thank you for those summers we'd spend in your garden laughing our asses off at basically nothing, for those summers up at Clear Lake where we ate ice cream till we could puke, thank you for our MANY talks and introducing me to The Inquirer with all it's hilarious but juicy gossip, thank you for always making me feel beautiful no matter what size I was, thank you for your sense of humour and as always, thank you for your love. You will truly be missed and I love you with all my heart. May your rest happily for all eternity. *XOXOXOXOXOXOXOXO to infinity (and beyond)* ;)

Pimp n' Hos' night

Here I am yet again, with not only Keith on my back to blog but I have friends harassing me as well!
SO, without any further delays, here is my 'Ode to my Hos' blog which will mainly consist of pics of us out on our Halloween adventure. As you'll notice, there's a theme and a raunchy and fun one at that. :)

I be PIMPIN'!!!

Kwasy (left side - above pic) was my 'run of the mill HOOOOO' for the night! She's a lady with MANY trades. ROAR!
'Mrs. Dwayne THE ROCK Johnson' (left side - above pic) was my 'special needs HOOOOOO' for customers with a 'special request'.

Mamma Ash (right side - above pic) was my 'HARDCORE 80s HOOOOOO' for customers that are still living in the 80s. Trust me people, they still exist! :p

My 'accountant' (left side - above pic) made an appearance as well and even took time to take part in the fun as you'll see below.

Oh yes my dear 'accountant', you truly are SPECIAL! lol. The BEST DOLLAR 'Mrs. Dwayne THE ROCK Johnson' ever spent was on those glasses.lol!

That's right! It's me and my HOOOOOOOOOOOOOs!

Snell (left side-above pic) was our 'High Class HO' for the evening.

'Mrs. Dwayne THE ROCK Johnson' aka our 'special needs HOOOOO' (above pic - right side) was about to earn her keep for the night. For privacy reasons I have cut out the customer she is entertaining'.

JUST KIDDING people! It was halloween and we were in costume & character & having fun (in between yawning)! lol. T'was a great night and I'm glad I have people in my life that got in the spirit of things! Most of all, I love that they were wanting me to blog about it with no reservations about it all being on the world wide net. However, now that I've posted this and they read it, they may make me remove it.lol. Naaaahhhhh, they be a cool bunch of HOOOOOOOOs! :)

Thanks to my lovely ladies!!! I look forward to coming up with something equally crazy and fun next year. :)

Vent-agious!

Okay, so here I am blogging to get Keith off my back already! lol. Well, not really, it's more so because I haven't blogged in forever (which Keith keeps reminding me) and because I have the computer aaalllll to myself. In light of putting the condo up for sale we took my computer down to make our home look more 'homey', not to be confused with 'homely'.lol.

Am I going through withdrawal? Perhaps. Am I in denial? Definitely! I mean, do I miss having my own computer? Ofcourse I do. But would I die without it? Hopefully not.lol. I don't miss the obligation to check it every day but when I randomly think up something I want to google I miss being able to LOOKATITRIGHTNOW!RIGHTNOWDAMMIT!!! teehee.

So what have we been up to lately? Well we've been up to what feels like a whole lotta nothing yet I find we've been busy. I ask myself constantly how is this possible but I don't know - it just is what it is. Maybe I'm taking more naps....hhhmmm, that COULD be the answer.lol. Now that I'm over that UGLY phase of insomnia I have been sleeping for as long as I can whenever I can. I wonder if my body is trying to make up for lost time but I've been told it's not possible. However, I'm sure my pj's, my pillow covered in drool and I would beg to differ if a debate was ever to arise. :s

I did have a few things I wanted to vent out but alas, I don't think I'm up for getting into it all. Maybe I'll do a Cole's Notes version. Bare with me....

Vent #1) Dear Unknown, Since you have children, then maybe it's about time to stop acting like one.
Vent #2) Dear neighbour, Get over it!
Vent #3) Dear Sisters, you're all over the age of 40 so isn't it about time you put differences aside? I think you all passed the test of 'Who can hold a grudge the longest' but may find yourself failing the 'Test of forgiveness'.
Vent #4) A friend once told me that nothing is private on the internet so I find myself stumped at what we all STILL willingly put on here. NEWSFLASH! If you write something so-called 'private' on the internet, it's NOT PRIVATE!!!
Vent #5) Dear Real Estate Agent, NO we do NOT want you as our agent at this time, YES we WILL let you know if we change our minds and PLEASE for the love of GAWD stop calling us on a daily basis or I very well may SNAP on you. :s

Done & Done! :)

House Hunting

Well, we may be getting ahead of ourselves in the Cullins household but so be it! We're currently waiting to hear back from the bank about a lil' thing called a mortgage. And when I say lil' I mean BIG, like in HUGE deal! If we play our cards right this will mean more space (which we need), no noisy neighbours (which my sanity needs), a place with a dishwasher (which Keith's sanity needs) and above all else, a place we can call home TOGETHER!

When I met Keith I was in an apartment and while that was great and all, they kept raising my rent. It had gotten to the point that we were spending a majority of our time together and it just made sense. Plus, I bitched and moaned about them raising my rent and I expressed how I would prefer to live in a box to save money for a place to own instead of renting and call it my home. As in, that's right, I OWN you biatch OOOWWWWNNNN you! lol.

Keith being the Knight and Shining Armour that he is 'allowed' me to move in with him as a result of my bitching and moaning.lol. Of course, this came with consequences. Smaller place = less entertaining for the Kimster. :(
And, if anyone knows me at all, they know how much I like to entertain! That's right, this girl knows how to paaaarrrrrt-aaay!!! Mmmm...wiiiine. hehe.

Okay, okay, where was I heading with this? OH! RIGHT! So we've been looking online even though we're not sure if we'll get the loan or not but whatever, it's fun. What people post AMAZES me to the point that I want to put a note on their door or contact their Real Estate agent and be like 'FOR REALZ?'

Such as:
One add stated 'Basement appears to be made of concrete but no guarantee'. Like ZOINKS, no thank you! lol.

Another add had one picture to which I was like 'ONE picture - of the bathroom'? It's like, 'Thanks for showing me where I can piss & shit, is that where I eat and sleep too'? Again, ZOINKS and no thanks! lol.

And, the search continues.....

Odds and Ends

While it seems our furry critter is gone, we are still de-marley-proofing the condo and finding 'remnants' of him around. Not like poop or anything (lol) more like foam padding he dug out from behind the couch or things that he got into that we haven't put back in their place. Like today, I got to put the toilet paper roll back on to the actual dispenser! I mean, it's nice to have the toilet paper back where it belongs but let's face it, obviously we'd rather have Marley kicking around and destroying the toilet paper. :(

In any event, I came across the last photo we got of him before he left us (far too early in life) to go play and chitter in pet heaven.

Again, isn't he cuuuuuute? :)

A new thing around here seems to be that odd species are putting up camp on our balcony. In a previous post I spoke of the spider we noticed that is OHSOGROSS! But not only has he refused to acknowledge my eviction notice, it seems that he's actually expanded and done some home renos! If I wasn't deathly afraid of him I would bitch-slap him off of our property. Instead, he and I have a nightly date where I tip toe passed him to sit on the balcony to enjoy the evening. And of course, instead of looking at the sky and enjoying the 'scenery', I end up watching him the entire to time to make sure he's not planning an attack on me.

On top of the whole shinnanigans with the BEAST of a spider, I went out one day to find this:

Like, WTF is THAT?! Most people would say a 'bee' but I BEG to differ! That was no f'ing BEE! That was some mutant that came from another planet! The picture doesn't do any justice as to how big that ugly thing really was! We measured it at about 3/4 the length of my thumb and probably twice the fatness! And the wings, BLECH, the WINGS looked like they were made of plant leaves but thinner, like almost see through. The weirdest thing was that it didn't really have any intentions of moving. It just sat there, hanging out like he/she too was checking out the property at an open house. I almost offered it some coffee or tea when I realized, oh right, this is my land BIATCH! So I did what any self-respecting woman would do. I went and got Keith! He came to my rescue and beat the crap out of that thing and that was that! As much as I hate the BEAST of a spider, I felt I kind of owed it to him since he settled on our property first. Plus, that thing in that picture above was a FA-REAK of nature. I mean, so are spiders but I think in this case, the BEAST of a spider is the lesser of the two evils. No?
