Two years in the making....

Wow, I can't believe it's been two years! Two years since the first time Keith and I met in person!!! It was a good night...a handsome man shows up at my door with a rose for me. He looked even BETTER than he did in the pics (which usually wasn't the case). His nice smile and his voice (OMG! his voice...) won me over instantly. ROAR! lol. I didn't put these pictures in order but I've just posted random shots of us in the last two years. There's like hundreds more but I had to restrain myself as I know that people don't want to spend their entire Saturday looking at us.lol. Although, I can't see why not.....hehe.

We certainly are cute but after looking at all these pics, I've realized something else....we're WEIRD too. And as you can tell, we're a-okay with that.lol.

Cheers to us my SWB and thanks for all that you are! I love you and look forward to many, many, many more years together. <3

Why men REALLY shouldn't clean....

Maybe men shouldn't necessarily clean the house because you may get phone calls or emails at work such as this:

'Hmmmm I wonder if mouse pads can be wash-safe and can be washed in the laundry with towels....'

And YES, it was Keith that emailed that thought of his to me. LMAO! I had tears puddling up from reading that. Wow, he's a KEEPER! Hey, at least he's cleaning...right?!
Maaaayyyyybe I should head home to make sure he didn't try giving Marley a bath in the washing machine too! BAHAHAHAHAHAHA!

To Keith: To many more years of making me giggle. CHEERS and I love you! <3

Twin-tastic!

Recently one of my bff's asked if I could come watch her twin boys while she attended her daughter's dance recital. I said 'sure thing' and even managed to get Keith to join me in the fun!!!

While playing, it was interesting (and amusing) watching the boys switch between laughing as they chased the ball to crying bloody murder because one or the other wasn't getting enough 'ball time'. This is how it all played out after the twins finished eating supper. :)

Once the boys expended some of their energy, they were given the option of going for a walk or reading some books and low and behold, look who got all the cuddle time??? Certainly not cuddly, hug-able, kiss-able and lovable auntie Kim (not that I'm bitter or anything)!!!

That's B saying 'OOOHHH OOOHHH' after he nearly took out my toes with his dump truck. You can even see that I managed to capture my toes in the photo. My intention was to get a picture while he was coming towards me with the truck. Just goes to show you how delayed my camera is. And yes, that is Keith getting all the cuddle time in the pictures. I only got my cuddle time with them when they were upset, otherwise, they were all over Keith. That's right, he's a dad in the making and just doesn't know it yet.lol. He can consider this training time.lol.
But all jokes aside, we really enjoyed our time with the boys. I found it interesting just listening to them and watching them interact with us and with one another. Mostly, I'll admit, my favorite part was watching them with Keith and how great he was with them. Thanks my SWB for helping me out!
Also, I have to just send a shout out to my bff D here as I find all that her and her husband do every day absolutely amazing. They both work full time and then come home to three children, two of which, are twins (if you hadn't noticed).lol. Now, to someone that doesn't have twins, they might not think much of it. But after one night, ONE NIGHT, and after putting the boys to bed, this was the end result:

If you want to read more about the boys and their adventures along with D, R and their daughter E, head to the link below. D has a super awesome blog because her and her family truly are TEAM SUPER AWESOME!

Mystery: Solved!

After a good solid 4 days of searching for Keith's keys, low and behold:

Remember how I said we looked under and over everything? Well, when I looked behind the door of our bedroom, I looked on the floor. However, I did not think to look in the bag hanging on the door. Although, even I must admit, they're pretty obvious! UH DUH Kim! Meh, what can you do?! lol.

CASE CLOSED!!!

The lost keys....le sigh....

Keith, has lost his keys, possibly permanently. :(

We have looked high and low, north, south, east and west and still we have found nothing. No cushion has gone unturned, no bed or bookshelf has not been looked under, over or through. This doesn't mean they're not here, somewhere, hiding in our condo, secretly laughing at us. I can just hear them jingling and thinking 'OHMYGAWD she's on her knees again looking for us. It will be hysterical when they replace all of us and we decide to come out of hiding from in the fridge crisper'?!

Really, we all know that this isn't possible but it's the way I'm feeling. Keith has decided that someone has come and taken them as part of a cruel joke. My argument with that is: if someone had our keys, I'm pretty sure our truck would be gone by now. lol.

In an attempt to find them, I looked under the seats in the truck only to get injured on both arms. A scratch on one arm and a bruise to match on the other.

But don't worry about me, I'll be just fine.lol.

In an attempt to get out of Keith's way while he had another 'search and (no) rescue' party, I decided to go on the balcony to clean the bbq. All I can say about the whole experience is YUCK! Who knew it could get sssssoooo nasty in a bbq? Certainly not me! The pics don't really reflect how gross it was but it was bad....by my standards. I guess it's safe to say that I have high standards.lol

The above picture isn't the best shot as I was having a hard time taking the picture with all that gunk over my hands. It wasn't until after I dumped the bag I realized that maybe I should have taken the photo AFTER I washed my hands and arms....

Do we know how to have fun or WHAT?! lol.

F'NUGGET Update

Hey there everyone! I was told not to long ago that I needed to post something about Marley so here it is...

1st of all, I would love to post some video footage but for whatever reason, I can't get it to download onto here. Therefore, I shall post some pics instead...yet again. While Marley is still super adorable (to us, at least), he has grown...like ALLOT! I would say he's more than doubled his size which is fine by me. This way, I'm less likely to step on him. :s

We recently took him to the vet to find out that yes, he is indeed, a dude. We weren't sure there for a while but we've had 'vet confirmation'...if that really means anything at all.lol. As far as we can tell he's in good health. The vet was a little concerned about his heart rate as it seemed a little high but she said at this stage we shouldn't worry. And for once in my life I can honestly say that I, Kim, am NOT worried. Why?! Well because Marley runs around like he's done about 100 hits of speed in one shot so I was not at all surprised when she mentioned his heart rate. If you could see all the pictures we've taken of 'him', you would understand. Yes, I have a crappy camera but most turn out like this because he's so dang fast:

See his tail sticking out from behind the couch. We have about twenty pictures just like this.lol.

But, with all his energy comes a whole lotta cuteness:

Notice how the only decent pics I manage to get are of him after he's just woken up?! We can definitely say that there's never a dull moment now that he's around. :)

Mini-Honeymoon???

I bet when you all read that title you think 'OOOHHHH OOOHHHH!' and you'd be right to think so. Before I even get into the downers about our little trip, I'll start with the uppers. :)
1st of all, I have gotten a whole week to spend with the love of my life. Definitely a plus!
2nd of all, I'm easy to please in my opinion. Some people people may argue that but that's for another blog. So, when we thought the weather was too crappy for camping, I came up with this fabulous idea! I thought, if the nights will be cold but we could run into some nice weather then we should still go somewhere. My solution: Duck Mountain in a CABIN! This way, whether the weather is nice or not, we could still go on the trails by day and sleep in a warm cabin by night! Great idea, right? RIGHT!
3rd of all, I'm getting paid to NOT be at work so alone, I should just relish in that fact alone.

Now for the downers. :(
1st of all, before we left, Keith and I had been feeling under the weather but Keith got the worst of it. He was feeling icky all over and I should have known better than to drag him out on an 'adventure' with me. But in my defence, he said he was feeling better and was up for going. When we got to Duck Mountain, the day went well. We went for a walk up to the lodge, when for a swim in the pool at the lodge and enjoyed their hot tub. WHICH, do I have a picture for you! I'll have to take one and post it as a follow up. You, my dear readers aren't even going to believe it. My bathing suit, where the skirt part usually falls just below my hips, now comes down to my ANKLES! I don't know wtf they put in the hot tub for chemicals but it blew my bathing suit to shyte.
That night we slept well and woke up the next morning ready to do whatever the day ahead brought to us. The sun was actually shining so we opted to go on a hiking trail. Now, Keith being Keith picked the 'almost' hardest trail out of all of our options. WHICH, kind of irritated me 'cause I'm thinking, dude, we be on vacay and I don't want to break my back but me being the 'trooper' I am went any way. Now this was all fine and dandy and I really felt myself getting a good workout but at the same time, felt like I might die. One word of advice, one hour at the gym a day does NOT prepare you for almost four hours of walking/hiking whether it be on land, dirt, mud, rock, marsh, or quicksand. At some point in our journey we reached a fork in the path, just before that fork was what resembled marshland since there has been so much rain. Keith didn't even stop and just walked on across it. I, on the other hand, hesitated and said 'Do you really think we should keep going'?
I mean, we had already encountered such marshy parts that I was just like, it keeps getting worse and I don't want to be stuck in the middle of this trail where bears can come eat me 'cause I'm like a WHOPPER to them! They like their humans just like we like our burgers. BIG, FAT and JUICY! lol.
Keith's response was 'Well, I made it across' which I'm like thinking in my head: Well yeah, but like I out-weigh by 500 pounds so SHUT IT! But I didn't say that, I just thought: GO FOR IT! So I did and SHOCKER, my ENTIRE left leg sunk into the mud/marsh which was kind of like quicksand. In response I immediately tried to pull my leg out but it wasn't coming out with my runner still on. I thought, screw this, I either lose my runner or get stuck here entirely with Keith having to get one of those emergency helicopter teams to pull me out. In the meantime I would just have to sit there waiting with my nothing but my head sticking out for the bears to eat. EEP! Any logical person would have done the same thing. I was like F U runner, it's been grand but I would prefer to keep my legs and my head! I managed to heave myself out by using my whole left side as leverage which concerned me because if my right side went down into the marsh, so could my left. :s
Note: Keith just stood there watching me! LOL!
Once my body was back on 'level' ground I turned around and BOOTED my chass out of there and didn't look back until I was on solid ground. PHEW! Keith, my 'hero', took a moment to retrieve my runner which looked like this:

After this whole fiasco and us laughing for five minutes about the whole thing, I decided to pull 'princess' and suggested we got some good walking in and that it was time we head back.

Upon our return, we went hot tubing and swimming again which was great because I was SO-ORE! Following that, we made a really nice supper and cuddled up by the fire which I didn't get any pics of because they never turn out. That night we did some light reading and then headed for what I thought would be a good night's sleep. However, I woke up to Keith coughing really bad which had us both up a majority of the night. When morning rolled around, I turned to him and said 'Let's take you home' and he agreed (poor guy).

As I was packing up the truck I was running in and out of the cabin to make the 11am check-out time. At one point I came in and Keith had something in his hand that I thought he had found in one of the drawers so I asked him what he found. He shook his head and said 'It's for you' so I looked at it, opened it up and found this:

That's right! It's a cool green colored pocket knife! On the little knife it says 'Kim' and on the other side it has two hearts. Now some girls want bling but I'm not that kind of girl!!! I've already used that cute little pocket knife three times since I got it and I love it! Most of all I love it for the reason why Keith got it for me: It will come in handy to open difficult packages (I do have issues when it comes to opening packages - my teeth aren't what they used to be) and for if anyone harasses me outside my workplace. :)

After that, we headed back home to Regina and are currently doing whatever the **** we want 'cause I'm on vacay BEHBEH! Mini-honeymoon, perhaps....but I do see me putting in some effort to celebrate our second honeymoon sooner than later.lol.
