Marley + ice cream = ASS EXPLOSION!

Marley, like us, looooves ice cream! It only makes sense that we share with him when we have some. Last night I think I went a little overboard and gave him too much. How do we know this, one might ask...

Well, I got up this morning only to find some 'residue' on the floor in the short 'hallway' that is located between our bedroom and bathroom. I had no idea what it was but thought, wow, it looks like something exploded. Looks like I was right! That something that exploded was Marley's ass! lol. Poor guy. :s

All I can say is, that little critter has great aiming skills because there was no way I would have thought it had come from him if it wasn't for Keith noticing there was similar 'residue' on the wall of his cage.

It's clear that Marley takes after Keith in most cases, but as it turns out...he reacts the same to ice cream as I do. Unfortunately I think Marley and I agree that ice cream is sssooo worth it.lol. Hence, here we are, debating whether or not to have ice cream, yet again.

Lesson NOT learned.lol.

Procrastination baby - it really turns me oooonnn.

This afternoon I had a HUGE burst of energy and devised a 'not so devious' plan to try that recipe for homemade marshmallows tonight. See:
http://marriagemadnessandmore.blogspot.com/2010/07/homemade-marshmallows-who-knew.html

Then, the feeling passed quickly as the afternoon carried on. So instead, I made a DELISCIOUS pasta dish and my dear Auntie Pegster joined us for a delictable supper and even more delictable wine.

I saved everyone from having to see boring photos documenting my every move because I was running behind and just wanted to get 'er done and EAT! But next time my dear blogfriends - YOU, are in trouble because chances are, I will take photos. Why? Because it was ssssssssssssssssssooooooooo mouthwatering good and ofcourse, IMADORK!

Here's what you need!

1) Pasta (pretty much any kind you like but I use Multigrain Fusilli)
2) 2-3 cloves of Garlic
3) Approx. half of a White Onion
4) Black Olives
5) Green Olives
6) Olive Oil
7) Approx. a teaspoon or so of butter or margarine

If you know how to heat up pasta and chop the remaining ingredients up (aside from the olive oil and butter or margarine - pfft, obviously), you are GOOD to GO my friends!

For those that aren't sure - boil the pasta in one pot. In a another pan such as a frying pan or saute pan, put it on medium and throw in all the chopped ingredients along with the olive oil and butter or margarine to sizzle until the pasta is done cooking. Once the pasta is boiled, drain those fusilli buggers out in a strainer and put back in pot. Fill your plate or bowl up with the pasta and drizzle the sauce over top and mix in accordingly. :) ENJOY - your tastebuds WILL thank you!

You can easily adjust the ingredients accordingly and even take some stuff out or add some stuff in but I wouldn't recommend it because it just might not be as good without! It is like SO yum I suggest everyone run out RIGHT NOW and go buy the ingredients and get to it!

Well - what are you waiting for??? lol.

ps. In yooooo' FACE Chef Gordon Ramsey! HA!

That adventures of the....wait for it.....wait for it....

CHERRY PITTER (or OLIVE PITTER) but for the sake of this blog, I will refer to it as the CHERY PITTER!

I'm not sure if this makes me lame and just further proves that I'm getting older but last weekend my aunt did a little supper in honor of Keith and I getting married. I'll get back to the 'lame' and 'getting older' part in a minute. But why so late in the game (it's only been 7 months) would someone have a supper for us, one might ask - because my grandma said so, that's why.lol. Now, let's not get carried away. It's not like we got all dolled up or anything. On the menu was veggies with hot dogs or hamburgers - a meal fit for a newly wed couple and guests (it works, right?). lol.

Anyway, my dear old uncle Darcie and Aunt Elaine got us a cherry pitter among a few other great things. Stay tuned for my next adventure with the MELON BALLER! And no, it's not as kinky as it sounds but BOY am I ever going to have fun with it when I get around to trying it out.

So here we are, back at why I'm calling myself lame AND old. Oh, and before I forget, I want to say thanks to Darcie and Elaine as they have included me in a tradition I'm very proud to be part of. The tradition being, no bride should be without a CHERRY PITTER or, a MELON BALLER! :)

Now, I'm no Gordon Ramsey in the kitchen but there's two things I like. One, being cherries and two, being things that make doing other things easier. The whole point of using a cherry pitter is for making pies which would be the case if I were, oh, let's say Betty Crocker. BUUUUUUUUUUT, I'm not - I'm me and I like being a dork and using my spare time to do things like documenting my every second of pitting the cherries.
Oh whoa is me!!! Where is the 21 year old blond Kim that would be out till 2am the night before and too hung over to do something like this AND the Kim that would make fun of this 31 year old Kim that documented her Sunday evening of cherry pitting?!

You know what the really sad part is?! I didn't do this for PIIIIEEEE - I did this for my teeth. WHICH, just adds to the fact that I'm getting older whether I'd like to admit it or not. Those cherry pits can be hazardous to my teeth and I have no shame in that. Okay, maybe I have a little shame. Now excuse me while I go take a nap. :p

Hi y'all!

My parents and brother are in from Canmore so my blog today is going to be pretty basic. If you're not up for being bored, you might want to just stop reading right now.lol. Otherwise, read along at your own risk.

Alright, so first off that I have to talk about is the Micheal Buble concert. OMG! I forgot my camera so I didn't get any pics. I know what you're all thinking! 'Who let this lady have a blog? She can't even remember to take her camera! UNFOLLOW'! (Or something along those lines)

But anyway, enough about me, MORE about Micheal. Okay, now I don't find him particularly cute like most other ladies but I can see why they might. If his music alone isn't enough to win you over, his humour certainly will. This guy is FUNNY and I MEAN FUNNY! I won't get into all the details here but if you see me and want details, I will fill you in on all the good stuff. But, as funny as he is and as lovely as his voice might be, my heart still and will always belong to a man that tells me jokes daily, makes me laugh daily, and serenades the heck out of me (even if he looks like a psycho in over half the pics I have of him).lol.

In other news, the spider I recently posted about still resides on our balcony. It was just yesterday I gave him an official letter telling him he will be charged rent as of September 1st. He seemed offended but I'm confident we can work something out. Like....I CAN KILL HIIIIIIM! (insert EVIL laugh)

What else, what else...OH, I followed through and contacted Lia Sophia about the BOX issue and the waste it causes and have yet to hear back. But you know what?! I love it when people agree with me and just recently I had TWO, not one, but TWO customers say WTF is up with that?! And I'm like, I know, right? RIGHT! It is time yet again, to take my rant to their voicemail AND email. I CAN make a difference, I think, if I'm annoying enough perhaps. All you need to know is, I'm on it folks!

Otherwise, Lia Sophia is going WONDERFUL! I have so many ideas and my shows are going well and I just got flowers for having stellar sales in my first month. BUT, I can't take all the credit, the jewellery really sells itself. If you want to see for yourself, go to: www.liasophia.ca/sites/kimcullins

OH, I need to do an update on Marley! I don't have any recent pics because mostly, the little F***NUGGET is too fast to catch on camera. His three MOST favourite things to do, along with annoying us, is:

3) Laying out flat when he's feeling bummed or tired. Marley is CAR-RAZY that way. He will be all like 'omgyouguysthisissomuchfunineverwantittostop' in CAPS and BAM, he's out like a light, laying flat looking up at you with his itty bitty brown eyes all like 'heeeeey, play with me maaaaan - I'm fuuuuun'! And YOU just KNOW that when he does it, he's using his whiny voice. 2) His 2nd fav thing to do HAS to be crawling under the kitchen sink and getting into GAWDONLYNOWS what. But whatev, if he's under the sink at least he's not suckering me into anything by laying out flat and looking FAR too cute to be up to anything good.
3) His NUMERO UNO thing to do is be by the bathtub, be in the bathtub, running around in the bathtub, trying to get into the bathtub...anything BATHTUBBATHTUBBATHTUB! Why, we're not quite sure. I mean, yes, he loves his bathtime which is GREAT but like it's all TUBTUBTUBTUTBTUBTUBTUBTUB, etc. You get the point - wish we did. Well, infact, I think the point is, our little F***NUGGET has a serious case of OCD, just like his mooooommy. :s

Well, that's all for now folks, coffee is to be had and perhaps some shopping! CHEERS and have a great weekend y'all!

Charlotte's Web

Some of you may already know this - but I HATE spiders. Maybe not as much as my sister who ripped my arm apart the first time we ever saw 'Arachnophobia' does, but still, I'm not a fan! The picture below explains is why I ended up screaming 'EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEKKKKKKKK!' when I went to go sit on the balcony the other night.

Okay, maybe I didn't scream but I did FA-HA-REAK a little. I mean really, who wouldn't if they saw what I did. See below!

Warning: What I'm about to show you may FA-HA-REAK you out. Just sayin'!

I shudder just thinking about it!!! At some point, this creepy little jerk decided to come and build on OUR property. And really, it wouldn't bother me so much if I was on his territory, like say, we were CAMPING! It would be one thing if we were parked on his turf and he came up and started construction for his new home in the back of our truck or what have you. But when some creepy crawly thing takes it upon itself to build on OUR lot, he's messing with the wrong people and EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWWW!

I personally don't have the heart or the strength to demolish the fine home he's set up for himself but I'm still working on Keith to shut him down. lol. I can't say it enough! EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEWWWWWWWWWWWWWW! Spiders are CREEPY!

On the Menu

Yesterday was my husband's 30th birthday (Happy Birthday baby) and tomorrow night, we celebrate ARCADE STYLE.lol. I see a whole lotta pacman in my future baby - BRING!IT!ON! lol.

However, to do a little something to celebrate his birthday, on his birthday, we hit up 'Bitten' located on Broad Street (In Regina, obviously). IT was DELISCIOUS!!! This was my second visit and Keith's first visit and we both walked away full and were pleasantly pleased patrons.

For starters we had the coconut shrimp which are a nice size. Granted, the dish only came with 6 pieces but we found it fit in well with our meal. The other appy we had was by far the most impressive appy I have ever had. If you have a 'salty' tooth like myself, go for the 'portobello mushrooms' on the menu. I have never tasted anything so satisying when it comes to appetizers. With a touch of minced mushrooms, bacon and feta cheese on top, it was THE perfect way to start a meal.

For the birthday boy himself, as a main dish, he ordered some type of burger which he claims was good. I never took a bite but now that I think about it, I probably should have given it a try. For myself and for the second time I might add, I had the 'Chicken noodle wrap' which is a chicken breast with vermicelli noodles in a wrap. Now, I know it sounds weird but they do an amazing job putting it together to make for a nice light meal. Along with that I had my new fav side of sweet potato fries which were amazingly fresh. Now! Let's get to the good part - DESSERT! :)

Birthday boy had a yummy serving of 'Chocolate Caramel Cake) which literally is to die for. I would actually go as far to say that it's better than lava cake at La Bodega for any of you that might have had it. And, if you know me - lava cake WAS at the top of my list so I guess it's officially bye bye to lava cake and HELLO to Keith's dessert WHICH I more than helped myself too (more than once). teehee. I, on the other hand gave something new a try and not on purpose either. I went with the 'Creme Caramel' which was good but not at all what I was expecting. When I had previously been at Bitten I thought I had ordered the Creme Caramel but according to our server last night, she thinks I may have received the wrong dish during my previous visit. I was expecting something similar to Creme Brule with some hardened candy type stuff on the side. I got it on my first visit and LOVED it! What I got last night, mmm, not so much. The creme part was really good and very smooth but it was smothered in raspberries which I'm not a fan of. However, I'm confident if anyone that loved raspberries ordered it, they would walk away saying it was the best dessert ever! I mean, I don't even like raspberries and I still ate almost all of it. lol.

So all in all, it was a fantastic meal! They still need to work on their drinks a little but I wasn't there for the booze....for once. lol. If you get the chance to do so and haven't checked it out yet, I would recommend it to anyone. ;)

CHEERS! :)

Newsworthy

I learned something valuable today - being head-butted by a ferret really F***ING hurts. I mean like toothache hurt...but in the head. Only after a half hour has my headache somewhat subsided but my eyes are still sore. Who knew such a little thing would have that much power behind it's movements?

Note to self: Do not play peek-a-boo with the lil' F*NUGGET anymore from behind a blanket!
